Area Sales Manager Electrical Control gear and Switchgear

Mitchell Maguire Recruitment Ltd is seeking an Area Sales Manager to drive sales of electrical control gear and switch gear across the Yorkshire & Humber region.

Field sales position, selling a distributed range of control gear and switch gear and ancillary products to electrical panel builders, switch gear builders, systems integrators, OEMs and other industrial end users.

• Responsible for circa 50 active trading accounts and a sales ledger of approximately £2 million.
• Achieve 50% account management, 50% new business development within dormant accounts and new prospects.
• Serve customers with turnover up to £400,000 per annum.
• Spend 4 days a week on the road, visiting approximately 4 customers per day, and one day per week working out of our Sheffield depot.
• Promote well‑known electrical brands with industry‑leading products.
• Work closely with the branch manager as the dedicated field sales person for the depot.

• Electrical industry field sales experience.
• Stable career history.
• Open, honest, and capable of working as part of a team.
• Self‑motivated.
• Prior experience with electrical panel builders, switch gear builders, system integrators, OEMs and other industrial end users may be beneficial.
• Professional approach.

£35,000-£45,000 base salary + 15% bonus, fully expensed hybrid car and full benefits.
