We’re Hiring an Advocacy Manager to provide for Maternity Leave Cover!

Ready to lead a team that makes a real difference in the lives of disabled people across Sheffield? We’re looking for a passionate Advocacy Manager to drive our independent advocacy and information services while mentoring a dedicated team of professionals, providing Maternity Cover for our current Advocacy Manager. As a key member of our management team and our Designated Safeguarding Lead, you’ll play a vital role in ensuring high‑quality support and empowering our community to be heard.

Interview Date – 8th & 10th April 2026

Pension: 6% employer contribution, 2% employee contribution (minimum)

Hours: 28 hours per week

Contract Type: Fixed term – 12 months Maternity Leave cover

Reports to: Chief Executive

Line management: Advocacy and Information Service staff

Disability Sheffield Centre for Independent Living is a ‘not for profit’ pan‑impairment organisation driven by people who self‑define as disabled people, whether they have a physical disability, a sensory impairment, a mental health condition or learning difficulties.

Main Purpose of the Job

To be accountable for the delivery, promotion and development of an independent advocacy and information service for disabled people. The Advocacy Manager will work to deliver an effective, efficient and high‑quality service by managing, supervising and supporting individual advocates, the information officer and the collective team.
