Key Responsibilities Carry out planned preventive maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance on a wide range of electrical and electro-mechanical equipment including plating lines, rectifiers, pumps, motors, compressed air and control panels. Diagnose and repair electrical faults, control wiring, drives, sensors, and instrumentation. Support mechanical repairs such as pumps, pipework, and hydraulics as required. Ensure equipment is maintained to achieve maximum efficiency and reliability, minimizing downtime.
Work closely with production teams to identify and resolve issues quickly and effectively. Contribute to continuous improvement projects and modifications to improve reliability, safety, and efficiency.
Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation in line with company procedures. Ensure compliance with electrical regulations, health and safety standards, and environmental requirements, particularly regarding chemical handling and plating operations. Liaise with external contractors and suppliers when required. Essential Skills & Experience Time-served Electrical Engineer with 18thedition Proven experience in a maintenance engineering role within a manufacturing/industrial environment Strong knowledge of electrical fault finding and repair, including motors, drives, control circuits, and PLCs.
Good understanding of mechanical systems Ability to read and interpret electrical and engineering drawings. Excellent problem-solving and diagnostic skills. Awareness of health, safety, and environmental compliance within a manufacturing Desirable Skills Able to showcase experience of working in an Industrial environment PLC programming/modification experience.
Experience with lean manufacturing, TPM, or continuous improvement initiatives. Personal Attributes Strong team player with good communication skills. Self-motivated and able to work independently. Flexible, adaptable, and able to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Proactive approach to safety and continuous improvement. In this role, you will be expected to work 07:45 - 16:15 Monday to Thursday and 7am - 1pm on a Friday.
