Job Information
Due to internal promotions and large investment my client are now looking to add several Manufacturing Engineers to be located at the Sheffield manufacturing site with a focus on analysing production data to enhance quality and delivery. In this role, you'll work closely with the production and maintenance team, driving continuous improvement initiatives by leveraging your Lean and process improvement expertise.
Key Duties
Analysing recent production data to identify improvements for quality, delivery, and efficiency.
Leading Continuous Improvement initiatives, refining routing, work instructions, and production documentation.
Collaborating with production and maintenance teams to implement process improvements using Lean and Six Sigma principles.
Developing and maintaining standard operating procedures (SOPs), ensuring compliance with internal and external quality standards.
Supporting the implementation of new equipment, automation, or technology, ensuring smooth integration into existing production processes.
Conducting root cause analysis on production issues and proposing actionable solutions.
Monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs) to track the success of improvement projects.
Providing training and guidance to production staff on updated processes and best practices.
Reporting on the impact of improvement projects, showcasing measurable results to management.
Participating in cross-functional teams to drive operational excellence and optimize manufacturing performance.
What You Need to Apply
Experience with in a manufacturing, heavy process, CNC, or similar environment.
Qualifications at HNC or HND level; a Six Sigma Green Belt certification is a plus.
Demonstrated success in implementing Lean or cost-saving projects.
Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage at all organizational levels.
Salary and Benefits
This is a permanent role offering a salary range of £35,000 to £45,000, working Monday to Friday day shifts with some flexibility. The position comes with a range of benefits, including gym membership, a high street discount scheme, 33 days of holiday (inclusive of bank holidays), and a 5% company pension contribution.
