Overview

The Facilities Officer will be responsible for ensuring the safe, compliant, and efficient operation of the organisation’s buildings and facilities. You will oversee health, safety, and compliance matters, including statutory inspections, risk assessments, staff training, and emergency preparedness, ensuring that all legislative and regulatory requirements are met. In addition you will manage building maintenance and repairs, supervise contractors and cleaning staff, and support environmental and sustainability initiatives.

You will also provide expert advice to the Operations Manager and senior leadership, support events and tenant requirements, manage facilities-related systems and reporting, and act as the main point of contact for all facilities, safety, and compliance issues. You will communicate proactively with staff, tenants, and visitors, respond to emergencies and out-of-hours incidents, and ensure that the building is safe, accessible, and welcoming for all users.
