Overview
University of Sheffield. We have an exciting opportunity in Performance Venues at the University of Sheffield for someone with a real commitment to customer service and operational delivery to work as part of a team delivering spellbinding culture and unforgettable performances in our three venues, Octagon, Drama Studio and Firth Hall.
The Performance Venues team are part of Estates and Facilities Management and are responsible for the management of performance and events spaces across the campus, focused around three principal venues and a number of other University presentation spaces.
Reporting to the Deputy Head of Performance Venues, you will play a key role in the delivery of support operations for a wide variety of events across our venues. Offering operational support to both internal and external contacts, you will provide a first-class customer experience and ensure that our venues are incredibly welcoming, ready, and safe for a wide range of users.
To be successful in the role, the Operations Supervisor will demonstrate a genuine commitment to providing a high quality and adaptable customer service, have an ability to take ownership of problems, work hard to resolve them and have excellent communication and team working skills.
The ideal candidate will have experience of supervising and directing the work of others, along with the skills required to foster and maintain relationships with colleagues, hirers and stakeholders.
