  Monday to Friday, 8:00am - 6:00pm
• An exciting opportunity to join a leading recycling and waste management company, with two major facilities in Leicestershire.

This is a brilliant opportunity to lead a busy fleet and engineering operation, overseeing a multi-skilled team and ensuring safe, efficient, and compliant maintenance across the fleet.

• An experienced manager who has previously run an HGV fleet or engineering workshop.
• Someone with a strong HGV maintenance or fleet management background, familiar with relevant legislation (tachograph cards, driving hour regulations, LOLER, PUWER, COSHH, ISO standards).
• Ideally someone who started as an HGV Technician/Mechanic and has progressed into a supervisory or management role. We're also open to strong candidates looking to take that next step up.
• Level 3 qualification in HGV, LGV, or Heavy Vehicle Maintenance & repair (or equivalent).
• A professional with strong management skills, organisational skills, and attention to detail, who's able to lead, motivate and develop a team of technicians, engineers, and administrators.

• Managing the Workshop and Engineering function including a team of HGV Technicians, Engineers, a Service Coordinator and Administrator.
• Ensuring all maintenance, compliance, and health & safety standards are met (including LOLER, PUWER, COSHH, and ISO management systems).
• Overseeing stock, KPI reporting, departmental expenditure, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Ensure targeted MOT pass rates are achieved.
• Supporting staff performance, training, appraisals, and operational efficiency.
• Being hands‑on when needed, helping with problem‑solving and assisting the team to ensure smooth workshop operations.
