Project Controls Manager

Job Description

The Project Controls Manager will be ultimately responsible for establishing the budget‑loaded programme, monitoring, controlling and reporting systems to comply with the Contract and Works Information, and to facilitate the successful delivery of a major project.

• Schedule development and management to ensure the WBS can be aligned to the reporting requirements.
• Advise the team on resource planning and management.
• Perform earned‑value management including but not limited to SPI/CPI.
• Produce project reports in accordance with contractual and governance requirements to the client and the company.
• Develop and produce reports on progress, critical paths, resources, earned value, and schedule risks.
• Capture and monitor project risks, issues, mitigations and resolutions.
• Lead technical/programme presentations and negotiations with clients, partners and suppliers.
• Manage Project Control Engineer(s) and other staff as appropriate.
• Ensure processes and statutory requirements are implemented on the project within their discipline.

• Project Management experience (as part of a team).
• Numeracy and ability to create and use Excel spreadsheets and to understand the potential of available tools.
• Experience and motivation to work both in teams and individually.
• Strong communication skills with the team and other project stakeholders, both interpersonal and written.

• Experience using Power BI, P6 and other Project Control software (PRISM, iTWO, etc.).
• Civil or other engineering degree, or Project Control specific qualifications.
