Facilities Manager (Temp – 4+ Weeks)

Location: Southampton Science Park

Hours: 8:00am – 4:30pm, Monday to Friday (fully site-based)

Rate: Up to £30 per hour

Duration: Minimum 4 weeks (potential to extend)

We are seeking an experienced, site-based Facilities Manager to provide temporary cover at a multi‑occupancy commercial property in Southampton.

You will support the Senior Facilities Manager and Property Manager in ensuring the smooth, compliant, and efficient day‑to‑day running of the building, delivering a high standard of service to occupiers and stakeholders.

• Oversee daily building operations and complete regular site inspections
• Manage planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive works
• Monitor and review contractor performance
• Ensure full Health & Safety and statutory compliance across the site
• Organise fire drills, first aid provision, and accident reporting
• Act as the main point of contact for occupiers, handling day‑to‑day queries
• Maintain accurate site records, compliance systems, and helpdesk updates
• Assist with minor works, purchase orders, and service charge administration

• Proven Facilities Management experience within a commercial property environment
• Strong working knowledge of Health & Safety legislation and compliance
• Experience managing contractors and building services (M&E, HVAC, life safety systems)
• Professional, confident communicator with excellent customer service skills
• Strong organisational and IT skills (Word, Excel, compliance systems)
• IOSH Managing Safely (desirable but not essential)
