Warehouse Manager & Forklift Drivers (B1)

Our client has full-time, permanent vacancies at their Northampton facility. Operating in a fast-paced and ever-changing logistics environment, the business is focused on delivering high service levels, operational efficiency, and strong client management across its warehouse operations.

- Experience leading teams of up to 20+ warehouse staff
- Able to work on your own initiative in a pressurised environment to tight deadlines
- PC literate with working knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Full understanding of operating an ETSF warehouse, including compliance
- Experience with ASM or equivalent (desirable but not essential)
- Strong communicator, able to liaise at all levels
- Numerate self-starter with a flexible approach to meet business needs
- Minimum 2 years experience in a fast-paced warehouse environment
- Valid Counterbalance Forklift licence (Category B1)
- Checkable work history
- Reliable and punctual
- Comfortable working 4 on 4 off shift patterns
- Reporting to the General Manager and accountable for the performance of the warehouse unit and yard area
- Managing depot operations operating 7 days per week to achieve key KPIs (Picking, Storage, Distribution, Client Management)
- Managing budgets including productivity, labour costs, overtime and agency usage
- Supporting recruitment in line with company standards
- Maintaining health, safety, welfare and overall depot security
- Ensuring Safe Systems of Work, risk assessments, accident investigations and reporting are completed and reviewed regularly
- Performance managing direct reports and setting key objectives
- Monitoring daily operations to ensure full process compliance and addressing non-compliance
- Driving continuous process improvement and implementing new SOPs
- Supporting and optimising the Warehouse Management System (WMS) to ensure effective use
- Operating a Counterbalance forklift safely and efficiently
- Supporting warehouse operations in a busy, fast-paced environment
- Adhering to all health & safety and operational procedures
- Ensuring accuracy and efficiency in goods movement and storage
