We’re looking for an experienced Head of Quality & Compliance to join our leadership team at Tes Institute. This is a pivotal role ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, governance frameworks, and quality requirements set by DfE, ESFA, Ofsted, and other governing bodies.
You’ll lead internal quality assurance, audits, risk management, and policy implementation-translating governance into effective operational practice. As Tes Institute expands internationally, you’ll also advise on compliance in new markets.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee programme compliance and governance for accredited courses.
- Lead risk management and business continuity planning.
- Conduct compliance audits and maintain regulatory standards.
- Manage GDPR and act as Data Champion for the department.
- Oversee complaints handling and learner funding audits.
- Support international expansion and global data privacy compliance.
- Lead governance panels and manage third-party contracts.
- Provide contractual support for SLAs, NDAs, MoUs, and consultancy agreements.
- Knowledge of ESFA and Ofsted regulations (preferred)
- Strong background in policy management, risk, and governance
- Excellent attention to detail and communication skills
- Strategic thinker with influential leadership
- Degree in education, law, business or related field (preferred)
- Postgraduate or professional certification in quality management/auditing (desirable)
