Program​/Engr​/Product Dev Manager

We are working with a well-funded, dynamic energy technology company that is transforming access to power in emerging markets. Their mission is simple but ambitious: to deliver affordable, reliable, and sustainable energy to communities that lack traditional infrastructure.

Backed by a major UK energy investor, the business has already established operations across several African countries and partners with international manufacturers to deliver scalable battery and storage solutions. With a strong CEO and leadership team in place, they are now seeking a Head of Product to take full ownership of the product strategy and roadmap.

As Head of Product, you will:

Define and deliver the end-to-end product lifecycle, from concept through to launch, scaling, and iteration.

Translate customer needs in emerging markets into scalable product features and solutions.

Manage relationships with international manufacturing partners (particularly in Asia) to ensure quality, innovation, and cost effectiveness.

Work closely with the CEO and leadership team to shape the company’s strategy and growth.

Build and lead a small product/engineering team, ensuring alignment across hardware, software, and operations.

Balance technical innovation with commercial viability to deliver impact at scale.

We are looking for someone who brings a mix of technical expertise, commercial acumen, and entrepreneurial drive.

Strong background in science/engineering (e.g. batteries, energy systems, hardware, or related technologies).

Proven track record in product leadership – strategy, roadmap, execution, and delivery.

Experience working with international supply chains and manufacturing partners.

Exposure to emerging markets (desirable but not essential).

Comfortable working in a fast-moving, scale-up environment, with the ability to wear multiple hats.
