Director of Decision Science

DIRECTOR OF DECISION SCIENCE LONDON UP TO £170,000 A high-growth, data-led financial services business is hiring a Director of Decision Science. This is a critical, senior hire within the decisioning function, responsible for leading the team that designs, builds and owns all credit scoring and decision models across the customer lifecycle.

THE ROLE The team builds and maintains all credit scoring and decisioning models using techniques such as GBM and XGBoost, owning the end-to-end model lifecycle from development through to monitoring and optimisation. Lead and develop a high-performing modelling team Remain hands-on across model development and technical oversight Own the full model lifecycle: build, deploy, monitor, optimise Translate risk strategy into effective, scalable decisioning Partner closely with Credit Strategy, Product and Engineering Balance growth ambitions with robust risk protection Ensure decisioning capability keeps pace with business expansion REQUIREMENTS Has recent, hands-on model development experience
- Python Comes from a strong credit risk / lending background Understands how to build and deploy credit decisioning in modern environments Can lead from the front technically while driving strategic direction
