Our client in the Information Technology and Services industry is looking for an Open Shift Administrator (Lifecycle) with strong automation engineering expertise to support enterprise platform operations. This role focuses on automating repetitive IT, infrastructure, and business processes to improve efficiency and reduce manual intervention. The position supports Red Hat Open Shift environments, ensuring automation solutions are robust, scalable, compliant, and aligned with enterprise controls and governance standards.

What you will do:

• Automate manual processes including server provisioning, patching, software deployment, and testing activities.
• Develop and maintain automation solutions for Red Hat Open Shift environments.
• Integrate automation workflows with existing enterprise systems, APIs, and tools.
• Identify automation opportunities by collaborating with IT, QA, and business stakeholders.
• Ensure automation solutions are robust, scalable, maintainable, and compliant with enterprise standards.
• Build and maintain job automation pipelines using tools such as Ansible and Jenkins.
• Develop or support test automation frameworks using tools such as Selenium, PyTest, or Robot Framework where required.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimise automated jobs and workflows.
• Utilise Jira and Confluence for work tracking, documentation, and knowledge sharing.
• Maintain version control using Git or SVN repositories.
• Document automation workflows, process maps, standards, and user guides.
• Support containerisation and orchestration activities within Open Shift and Kubernetes environments.
• Consume and automate REST APIs to enable system integrations.
• Work independently to manage assigned deliverables and meet agreed timelines.

• Five to ten years of experience in automation engineering, IT operations, infrastructure automation, or related disciplines.
• Hands-on experience with automation tools such as Ansible and Jenkins.
• Proven experience working with Red Hat Open Shift in enterprise environments.
• Working knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes platforms.
• Experience integrating automation solutions using REST APIs.
• Understanding of enterprise IT operations, QA processes, and compliance requirements.
• Experience using version control systems such as Git or SVN.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to debug automation failures.
• Experience documenting workflows, automation standards, and operational procedures.
• Familiarity with Jira and Confluence for tracking and documentation.
• Experience with ArgoCD for Git Ops-based deployment and application management preferred.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple deliverables in a structured enterprise environment.
