Open Shift Architect

Location:
Sheffield, UK (2-3 Days Onsite)

Job Type: Contract Inside IR35 Role

This is a hybrid architect/engineer role requiring deep, hands-on expertise across the Open Shift platform.

• Design, architect, and implement enterprise-grade solutions on Red Hat Open Shift.
• Lead the development and rollout of business and technical processes on the Open Shift platform.
• Provide hands-on engineering support for platform build, configuration, and optimisation.
• Define platform standards, patterns, and best practices. Support application onboarding, containerisation, and migration to Open Shift.
• Design and implement CI/CD and Git Ops pipelines. Implement security, governance, and compliance controls across the platform.
• Optimise platform performance, availability, and scalability. Collaborate with product owners, developers, and operations teams.
• Troubleshoot complex platform and infrastructure issues. Produce and maintain technical documentation and architecture artefacts.

• Experience:
  
  Strong experience as an Open Shift Architect or Senior Open Shift Engineer.
• Deep knowledge of Red Hat Open Shift (OCP) architecture, installation, and operations. Strong hands-on Kubernetes expertise.
• Experience designing and building enterprise container platforms.
• Solid experience with CI/CD and Git Ops tools (ArgoCD, Tekton, Jenkins, Git Hub/Git Lab). Experience with container technologies (Docker, Podman, Helm).
