SharePoint Developer – 3‑6‑month contract – Remote

My client has recently migrated to SharePoint Online and is seeking an experienced SharePoint Developer to take full technical ownership of the platform. This role will be responsible for designing, improving and scaling SharePoint Online across the organization, making architectural recommendations, resolving storage challenges, and delivering enterprise‑grade solutions.

You will act as the SharePoint SME, setting the platform up correctly from the ground up and driving it to the next level.

• Strong hands‑on experience with SharePoint Online
• Proven experience delivering enterprise‑scale SharePoint solutions
• Experience setting up SharePoint Online environments from scratch
• Strong knowledge of SharePoint architecture, permissions, security and governance
• Experience with Power Apps (Canvas Apps)
• Understanding of SharePoint Online storage models and optimisation techniques
• Strong technical problem‑solving and stakeholder communication skills

• Own and develop the SharePoint Online platform at an enterprise level
• Design and implement SharePoint Online architecture, site structures, permissions and governance
• Build and enhance solutions using SharePoint Online and SPFx
• Review existing SharePoint configuration and recommend technical improvements
• Analyse and resolve SharePoint storage issues, including optimisation and long‑term storage strategy
• Define information architecture, metadata, content types and search configuration
• Work closely with the business to translate requirements into technical SharePoint solutions
• Design and deliver Power Apps solutions integrated with SharePoint Online
• Ensure solutions follow Microsoft best practices, security and scalability standards
