OverviewOur client in the Information Technology and Services industry is looking for a Technology Resilience – Lead Enterprise Architect to help shape the future of digital-first banking. This role focuses on strengthening enterprise-wide technology resilience by defining architecture standards, driving global resilience initiatives, and improving service quality and availability across application, infrastructure, security, and data domains.
The successful candidate will lead strategic resilience programmes, design scalable architecture patterns, and collaborate globally to embed resilience, availability, and operational excellence into core technology services.
What you will do- Lead resilience deep dive process and management implementation into Service Now Continual Improvement Management (CIM).
- Lead resilience improvements process and management implementation into Service Now CIM.
- Conduct resilience vulnerability data investigations and analysis.
- Design migration from home-grown Technology Vulnerability Management to Service Now Integrated Risk Management (IRM).
- Drive strategic initiatives covering Double Failure Resilience and Mass Disaster Recovery scenarios.
- Redefine and embed Recovery Time Objectives across the organisation.
- Define and implement SLI, SLO, Error Budget, and Availability Management strategies.
- Contribute to Technology Resilience strategy and sub-strategies across application, infrastructure, security, data, observability, operations, and culture.
- Collaborate with technology teams to design reusable resilience design patterns and solutions.
- Build feedback loops from production incident data into engineering best practices.
- Grow resilience capability and skills within technology teams.
- Contribute to architecture and design of central resilience services and tooling.
- Lead strategic thinking to identify resilience gaps and define mitigation approaches.
- Develop business, data, software, and integration architecture standards to support scalable and resilient services.
- Engage global stakeholders to understand business needs and design appropriate enterprise solutions.
- Senior-level experience as an engineer or architect across application, infrastructure or cloud, security, and data domains.
- Proven expertise in technology resilience and service availability.
- Strong experience defining enterprise architecture standards and resilience strategies.
- Experience implementing SLOs, SLIs, Error Budgets, and availability frameworks.
- Experience with infrastructure, microservices, Dev Ops, container architecture, Infrastructure as Code, CI/CD, automated testing, SRE, or production support environments.
- Knowledge of observability practices including logging, monitoring, telemetry, and metrics.
- Experience contributing to resilience initiatives such as chaos engineering, scenario testing, or FMEA.
- Experience working within global organisations, ideally within financial services or banking environments.
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills with ability to present architecture and strategy papers to senior leadership.
- Ability to analyse large data sets and derive actionable insights.
- Experience with IT Service Management frameworks.
- Knowledge of Service Now platform, particularly Continual Improvement Management (CIM) and Integrated Risk Management (IRM), is highly beneficial.
- Strong communication skills with ability to simplify complex technical concepts for diverse audiences.
- Ability to challenge constructively and influence senior stakeholders.
- Engineering mindset with focus on operational scale, reliability, and long-term resilience.
