Head of Data & Analytics Capability

Data and Analytics is an important enabler for the UK Business strategy and in achieving its outcomes.

The Head of Data & Analytics Capability UK is within the UK Chief Data and Analytics Office (CDAO) function. The UK CDAO function is responsible for data risk and control management delivering the data platform strategy, data and analytics products and AI for the UK Business.

• Creating leading and owning the operating structure and supporting organisation that ensures a joined up strategy, operations and standards capability across UK CDAO.
• Leading the implementation of the Data Strategy for the UK including a consolidated and coordinated representation with a focus on delivery, dependencies, risks and issues.
• Leading on delivery of the operating model and underlying processes for the management and delivery of UK CDAO data and analytics products and services.
• Driving integrated strategic standards and delivery, improving both efficiency of overall processes, including the management of any shared capabilities.
• Forming close relationships with Group DAO UK Stakeholders and other CDAO areas to ensure a collaborative and service-led delivery approach.
• Perform horizon scanning for regulatory demands as well as new emerging technology to drive a forward looking and sustainable capability.
• Own and deliver a streamlined governance for rapid decision making, working with UK OpCo and Board level governance.
• Lead the planning and budgeting cycle for the UK Data & Analytics enabler value stream.
• Ensure the UK CDAO cost profile is right-sized and delivered.
• Act as delegate for the UK CDAO and become a trusted advisor managing stakeholder expectations and working relationships with the team, focusing on transparency, culture and collaboration.

• Awareness of the UK financial landscape and regulations.
• Strong analytical, organisational, cross‑functional collaboration, communication and presentation skills.
• Well versed using Microsoft suite including data and analytics tools and languages.
• Excellent knowledge of Agile / programme management tools including Confluence and Jira.
• Strong stakeholder management and relationship management.
• Ability to influence stakeholders across geographies.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent knowledge of delivering data and analytics products and services.
• Experience in a large global organisation, preferably in a Transformation or IT department or shared service operation.
• Experience of working on a regional scale (across time zone & geography and with remote teams).
