You’ll manage complex projects, work with multi-functional teams, and deliver innovative services that support millions of people. From modernising legacy systems and driving cloud adoption to creating low-code solutions, you will lead impactful change in a collaborative, forward-thinking environment.

• Core Digital Service – Benefit Payment Services
  This team maintains DWP's Core Services, paying £150 billion to over 15 million citizens annually. You will lead technical delivery across complex digital environments, managing cross-cutting projects and infrastructure/software upgrades on legacy systems and services.
• Hybrid Cloud Services (HCS)
  As part of the HCS Database Platforms team, you will lead end-to-end delivery of multiple projects at pace, working with engineers to ensure DWP's success in continuing transition to a hybrid cloud model.
• Low Code Team
  Deliver low-code solutions using Microsoft Power Platform, modernising services from scratch or remediating legacy applications.

• Digital project manager background.
• Influential communication and leadership across a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.
• Proven track record of motivating peers, resolving conflicts and fostering a positive team environment.
• Strong risk and issue identification, with the ability to resolve or escalade effectively.
• Experience in procurement, commercial and supplier management, including budgeting and effective planning.
• Adaptability and ability to adjust quickly to changing priorities and complexity.

Lead the end-to-end delivery of complex, large-scale digital change. Take ownership of project controls, ensuring plans, risks, issues and dependencies are managed effectively. Provide governance and reporting to senior leaders and influence board-level decisions.

Work across a diverse stakeholder landscape, setting the pace for delivery and collaborating with internal teams and external suppliers to achieve success. Foster a positive team culture, coach and mentor for improved flow, quality and ownership, and resolve conflict when needed.

Take further responsibility for your own development, building expertise in project management, digital frameworks and emerging technologies in an agile environment.

Location:

Choose your digital hub from Birmingham, Blackpool, Leeds, Manchester, Newcastle or Sheffield.

Hybrid working model – some time at home and some time in a hub.

Pay: £57,946 to £68,205.

Pension:
Civil Service pension with 28.97% employer contributions (worth over £16,758 per year).

Starting at 26 days, rising to 31 days over time, plus up to 3 extra days off a month on flexi‑time. All usual public holidays included.
