Risk & Compliance Executive

Location: Sheffield

Job Overview:

We are currently seeking a confident and detail-oriented Risk & Compliance Executive to join our in-house compliance team. You will play a vital role in ensuring regulatory compliance across the business, working closely with the Compliance Team Manager and regulatory officers such as the COLP, COFA, MLRO/MLCO, and DPO.

Key Responsibilities:

Serve as a confidential point of contact for compliance-related queries

Act as a point of contact for data protection and AML compliance

Assist with compliance training programs and policy updates

Process data subject requests (e.g., Subject Access Requests)

Investigate and report data protection breaches

Support reviews of compliance policies and procedures

Monitor legislative changes and assess their impact

Provide input into strategic decisions from a compliance perspective

Ensure regulatory compliance in internal projects

Help manage compliance communication and training initiatives

Record and report compliance failures and breaches

Assist with office insurance and SRA renewals

What Were Looking For:

Previous experience in a legal compliance or risk management role

Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks (SRA, DPA 2018, AML 2017)

Strong planning, communication, and analytical skills

Ability to work independently and under pressure

A proactive and solutions-oriented mindset

Commitment to personal development and ongoing training
