Restaurant & Bar Manager – leaf HOSPITALITY
Double Tree by Hilton Sheffield City is recruiting a Restaurant & Bar Manager to join the team. The restaurant is located on the ground floor of the prestigious Double Tree by Hilton Hotel, and the position will report directly to the Hotel Manager.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure high service standards and skill within the team, ensuring all mandatory training is undertaken and refreshed as needed. Training standards are maintained as a priority.
- Undertake line‑management responsibilities such as annual appraisals, regular 1:1s and corrective action.
- Full oversight of operational activity across the restaurant, lounge bar and breakfast team—producing rotas, overseeing labour control and cost, managing budgets and targets, stock and waste control, dry and wet stock ordering, etc.
- Recruit, onboard and maintain a passionate and engaged food and beverage team.
- Support and oversee service from a hands‑on perspective, working in the operation during peak and essential periods.
- Regularly review and act on guest feedback, leading the positive resolution of any escalated guest queries and concerns.
- Manage booking systems and processes, ensuring a slick and efficient booking and diner process.
- Maintain excellent team communication with supporting teams such as kitchen and sales.
- Undertake hotel‑related duties such as duty‑management shifts, attending hotel operational meetings, participating in internal team and culture activities, etc.
Requirements
- Ideally 2+ years’ experience in a comparable role.
- Experience in a branded / high‑street restaurant.
- A passion for the food and beverage industry.
- An interest in working within a hotel environment.
- Excellent and engaging manner and approach to guests, team and others—motivating and inspiring leadership.
