Job OverviewWe have an exciting new role as Pharmacy Lead for Research and Development. This part‑time position leads the pharmacy team in supporting the Research and Development team and manages the pharmacy aspects of clinical trials.
Responsibilities- Act as the first point of pharmacy contact for research trial sponsors and CROs.
- Lead and facilitate pharmacy aspects of pre‑site selection visits, site initiation visits, monitoring and close‑out visits.
- Oversight and management of pharmacy‑related clinical trials income.
- Work with the RDU and medical colleagues to identify research priorities in Clinical Trials of Investigational Medicinal Products (CTIMPs) and other related trials.
- Contribute to the assessment and feasibility of delivering clinical trials within SHSC.
- Attend local and regional pharmacy research networks.
Additional responsibilities include supporting the coordination of local responses in a timely manner, working closely with clinical and research teams, sponsors, and the R&D department.
Person Specification Experience- Worked in clinical trials previously.
- Significant post registration experience.
- Evidence‑based practice.
- Research work.
- Hospital experience.
- MPharm.
- Post‑grad Diploma in Clinical Pharmacy.
- GCP.
- Certificate in Psychiatry.
- GMP.
- Knowledge of medicines for human use (clinical trials) regulations.
- Interest in clinical trials and mental health.
- Awareness of best practice and clinical guidelines.
- Awareness of recent research.

Full time position with flexible working and home or remote options. The role is part‑time with a salary between £50,952 and £57,349 per year (Band 8a).
