Community Care Assistant

Role Overview

Valley Care Direct is looking for local Community Care Workers to join our care teams in Sheffield. Where you’ll provide life‑changing care and support that enables vulnerable adults of all ages to live fulfilling lives in their own homes.

• Assist service users with personal care such as washing, bathing and toilet arrangements.
• Help service users overcome mobility problems and use personal equipment.
• Perform domestic tasks including making and changing beds, tidying rooms, light cleaning, laundry and emptying commodes.
• Support with eating and drinking by preparing meals, snacks and drinks.
• Administer medication and contribute to end‑of‑life care as needed.

• No previous experience is necessary but you will need to demonstrate real compassion, excellent communication and problem‑solving skills, and be committed to delivering high‑quality, respectful care.
• Have a right to work within the UK.
• A driving licence and access to a vehicle is preferred for this role.

Alternative weekends

Rates £12.60 per hour
35p per mile
