Group Leader – Activity and Learning Hub

Location: Norfolk Lodge, Park Grange Road, Sheffield S2 3QF

Hours of work: 2 days a week / 8hrs per day 9am – 5pm – currently delivering Art (Weds) and Sports (Thurs) but subject to change

Salary: £28,629 pro rata – actual salary £12,380 per annum

Holidays: 7 weeks (pro-rata) inc Bank Holidays.

Currently the Activity and Learning Hub is closed for 7 weeks a year and annual leave should only be taken during this time.

• Support and motivate members to participate in learning activities as part of a group.
• Plan and lead group activities
• Produce a plan of group activities / scheme of work six-weekly in advance
• Keep records as required
• Evaluate sessions and feedback
• Support members during lunch, breaks and end of day activities
• Provide pastoral support and support with the personal care needs of members as needed.

All Sheffield Mencap and Gateway employees are required to:
