Financial Reporting Manager

Apointe are partnering with a high-profile, internationally recognised organisation undergoing a period of finance transformation, as they look to appoint a senior interim to act as a true deputy to the Group Financial Controller. It is a hands‑on, senior interim role designed to stabilise the finance function, reinforce core accounting discipline and provide leadership bandwidth during a period of change. You will operate as the right‑hand to the GFC owning key elements of controllership, strengthening reporting processes and helping to shape what “good” looks like within the finance function.

Reporting directly to the Group Financial Controller, you will:

• Deputise where required across controllership responsibilities
• Oversee and strengthen the month‑end close process
• Ensure balance sheet integrity and robust reconciliation discipline
• Support delivery of group reporting and audit readiness
• Identify control gaps and implement practical, scalable improvements
• Work cross‑functionally to improve process handoffs across the business
• Provide stability and senior judgement during ongoing transformation

It requires someone comfortable operating in ambiguity, willing to roll up their sleeves, and capable of stepping up when required.

• Qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA)
• Strong core accounting fundamentals month‑end ownership and balance sheet control essential
• Experience working in evolving, fast‑paced or transforming environments
• Hands‑on mindset willing to operate in the detail
• Strong communication skills and stakeholder management capability

This role would suit an experienced interim who enjoys rebuilding structure, enabling progression within teams and helping finance functions move from reactive to proactive.
