Senior Accounts Assistant

Sharp Consultancy are delighted to be partnering with a well‑established and highly reputable manufacturing business based in Sheffield as they look to appoint a Senior Accounts Assistant to join their finance team on a full‑time, permanent basis.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced finance professional who thrives in a fast‑paced environment and enjoys taking ownership of their work.

• Overseeing purchase and sales ledger activities
• Assisting with monthly management accounts preparation
• Bank reconciliations and cash flow monitoring
• Supporting payroll processes
• VAT returns and statutory reporting support
• Supervising junior team members where required
• Assisting with year‑end procedures and audit preparation

• Previous experience in a similar finance role
• Strong attention to detail with excellent organisational skills
• Confident using accounting systems and Excel
• Proactive, reliable and able to work independently
