Interim Financial Controller3-6 Months Sheffield based - fully site based £ 65,000- £75,000 Elevation Recruitment is working exclusively with a leading manufacturing business in Sheffield who are seeking an Interim Financial Controller to support them through a period of change. This is a fantastic opportunity for a hands-on finance professional to parachute in and make an immediate impact.

The Role:The Interim Financial Controller will drive financial performance, maintain robust controls, and provide accurate reporting to support both operational and strategic decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

• Own the day-to-day finance function, remaining hands-on with transactional finance, month-end, year-end and management reporting.

• Take an active role in costing, inventory and WIP, including stock takes and valuations.

• Maintain strong financial controls and ensure statutory and audit compliance.

• Partner closely with operations, supply chain and commercial teams to support day-to-day decision-making and efficiency improvements.

• Improve finance systems, processes and controls, leading from the front where needed.

Key Skills & Experience:

• Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent).

• Proven experience as a Financial Controller within a manufacturing environment (FMCG, engineering, industrial, or similar).

• Strong understanding of costing, stock, and manufacturing finance processes.

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a proactive, hands-on approach.

• Strong leadership qualities with the ability to influence and challenge constructively.

• Proficient in ERP/manufacturing systems and advanced Excel.
