A well-established and highly respected heavy engineering firm based in Sheffield is currently recruiting a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to strengthen their on-site maintenance team. This role offers a fantastic opportunity for a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer seeking long-term stability, strong company benefits, and the chance to work within a well-known industrial environment.

• Mechanical fault finding, maintenance, and repair on heavy industrial machinery
• Planned and reactive maintenance across production equipment
• Working on hydraulics, pneumatics, gearboxes, bearings, conveyors, pumps, and rotating machinery
• Responding to breakdowns to minimise downtime
• Working closely with electrical engineers and production teams
• Ensuring all work is completed safely and in line with company procedures

• Apprentice-trained or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering
• Strong mechanical fault-finding experience in an industrial or heavy engineering environment
• Good working knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics
• Welding or fabrication skills advantageous but not essential
• Background in heavy engineering, manufacturing, steel, foundry, or similar sectors
• Willingness to work a rotating days and nights shift pattern
