The RoleYou’ll play a key part in maintaining, improving and developing control systems across a busy manufacturing site. This isn't a “keep the lights on” position, you'll be encouraged to challenge the status quo and bring forward innovative ideas that improve performance, reliability and efficiency.
When it comes to technical skills, you don’t need to be a programmer from scratch, but you must be confident working with Allen Bradley and Siemens PLCs, including:
- PLC interrogation and diagnostics
- Fault finding and system troubleshooting
- Software modifications and rewriting programmes
- Supporting upgrades and improvements
You’ll be empowered to take ownership, drive improvements and see your ideas implemented.

- Strong fault-finding and problem-solving ability
- Experience with Allen Bradley and Siemens PLCs
- Electrical background with controls experience
- An Electrical Engineer ready to step up into a more controls-led position
