Electrical​/Controls Design Engineer

Salary is £50k-£60k. Location Sheffield.

Our client is a leading solutions provider in electrical control systems, renowned for expertise in the sector. They work with OEMs and end users to deliver innovative, high-quality engineering solutions tailored to complex industrial needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop hardware and software for PLC and drive systems.
• Manage projects from tender stage through to completion.
• Create electrical schematics and integrate AC/DC drives.
• Program PLCs and implement motion control applications.
• Oversee onsite commissioning and ensure customer satisfaction.
• Collaborate with clients and internal teams to deliver bespoke solutions.

The Successful Candidate:

• Degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering.
• Passion for engineering and problem-solving.
• Interest in electrical/electronic control systems.
• Ideally experienced in control system design and major drive products (ABB, Siemens, Rockwell, etc.).
• Knowledge of AC/DC drive integration, motion control, and PLC programming.
• Ability to manage projects and work on installations from design to implementation.
