A leading manufacturer is now looking for a Design & Development Engineer to join their team. Working alongside the Engineering Manager, you'll be responsible for ensuring the Company has a range of high quality, technically innovative and commercially competitive products to offer the market. Preferably you will have similar experience within Manufacturing or an engineering environment. You must be methodical with excellent communication skills.

Salary: Negotiable plus Bonus Scheme, Pension, 28 days Holiday, Reduced Friday Hours
The RoleThe Design Engineer will be responsible for designing and developing new products as required, whilst also enhancing the existing product range. Products will be designed to customer requirements, and the design engineer will be required to assist the customer until completion of the project. This role will be required to provide technical support for customers, which may involve site visits both internationally and nationally.
The production and maintenance of technical documentation will need to be developed as required, including CAD drawings, costing data, technical construction files, and design calculations, bills of materials, technical specifications, marketing literature and test data.
ONC / HNC or HND in Mechanical Engineering or an Engineering Degree. Experience and knowledge in CAD and Solidworks. Applicants must have previous experience working within a similar role, in a demanding and often pressured engineering environment.
You must be computer literate with a good working knowledge of Microsoft office. Also you will have a good understanding of design and engineering manufacturing procedures, with experience working with metals / fabrications. To be quality orientated, have excellent communication skills and keen decision making capabilities. Attention to detail and accuracy skills are essential.
