The OpportunityOn behalf of our client, we are recruiting for an experienced Pump Engineer to join a well-established engineering organisation based in Sheffield. This is a permanent role offering a competitive salary, company van, and long-term career stability.
The RoleThe successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, fault diagnosis, and repair of pumping systems across a range of industrial and utility environments.
Key ResponsibilitiesInstallation, servicing, and repair of pumping systems
Fault finding on pumps, motors, seals, bearings, and associated equipment
Planned and reactive maintenance activities
Commissioning of new pump installations
Completion of service reports and job documentation
Adherence to health, safety, and quality standards
Professional interaction with customers and site teams
Proven experience as a Pump Engineer or Mechanical Engineer (pump systems)
Strong knowledge of centrifugal and positive displacement pumps
Mechanical fitting experience (seals, bearings, couplings, alignment)
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
Electrical awareness advantageous but not essential
Full UK driving licence
Relevant mechanical or engineering qualifications preferred
£43,000 salary
