Opportunity for a Senior Product Designer/Engineer who is passionate about great design and disruptive solutions. The role is based in Sheffield with a rapidly scaling advanced engineering/tech business that is building a new class of industrial and advanced machine.

This is a hands‑on, high ownership role where you’d:

• Lead a complex, integrated machine from early concept through to production‑ready hardware
• Work across mechanical, electrical and software‑controlled systems
• Build, test and iterate directly on the shop floor (not just behind a CAD screen)
• Work across individual parts, assemblies and complete systems
• Play a key role in scaling from prototype to repeatable, manufacturable systems

Key skills / Experience required:

• A degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Product Design or similar
• Software, programming or controls experience
• Proven experience taking complex machines from concept to market launch
• Strong mechanical engineering fundamentals (mechanisms, tolerances, materials)
• A strong bias toward practical, on‑site engineering and experimentation
