A specialist SEN school in Carshalton is looking for a Youth Worker to support pupils who benefit from strong role models, clear boundaries and consistent adult support.
Many of the students supported have social, emotional and mental health needs (SEMH) and respond well to adults who bring calmness, confidence and the ability to build genuine relationships.
This role focuses on helping pupils stay engaged with learning, supporting behaviour positively and working closely with teachers and pastoral staff to maintain a structured environment.
Youth workers often bring the right balance of patience, authority and mentoring skills that allow students to feel supported while maintaining expectations.
What you will be doing- Supporting pupils during lessons and structured activities
- Building positive relationships with students
- Supporting behaviour and emotional regulation
- Working alongside teachers and pastoral teams
- Youth Worker

- Sports Coach

- Teaching Assistant
- Community Worker
Experience working with young people is essential.
An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service is highly desirable.
