Lecturer – Electrical Installation (Full‑time)
An exciting opportunity has arisen in the School of Engineering at West Herts College Group, located in Hemel Hempstead, for a full‑time Lecturer in Electrical Installation. We are looking for an industry‑experienced electrician to transition into an educational setting and share practical skills and theory with the next generation.
The role involves teaching and assessing students across Levels 1–3 on full‑time, adult part‑time and apprenticeship programmes. You will work closely with employers, develop curriculum, and support student progress.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver high quality teaching and assessment in Electrical Installation to diverse learners.
- Develop and update learning materials aligned with industry standards.
- Collaborate with industry partners to enhance student employability.
- Provide pastoral support and advice to students.
- Relevant industry experience and knowledge of Electrical Installation.
- Competitive qualifications such as Electrical installation competencies PT1 & PT2, Level 2 & 3 qualifications (2320, 2365), or a Level 3 NVQ.
- Enthusiasm for helping people of all ages and abilities to achieve their potential.
- Assessor and/or IQA qualifications are advantageous.
- Teaching qualification desirable – training and the opportunity to obtain one will be provided.

Friday 13 March 2026. Successful candidates will commence work in August 2026.
