A welcoming and inclusive primary school in Sheffield is seeking a committed and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our dedicated team.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone passionate about supporting children aged 4–11 and making a meaningful difference in a nurturing, community-focused environment.
About the RoleAs a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with class teachers to support pupils across EYFS, KS1 or KS2. You will provide classroom support, deliver small group interventions, and assist individual pupils — including those with additional learning needs.
You will play a key role in helping children develop academically, socially, and emotionally.
Key ResponsibilitiesSupport the delivery of engaging lessons across the primary curriculum
Provide 1:1 and small group support in literacy, numeracy, and phonics
Assist with classroom management and pupil engagement
Support pupils with SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities) where required
Help prepare classroom resources and learning materials
Monitor pupil progress and provide feedback to teachers
Promote safeguarding, wellbeing, and inclusion at all times
Experience working with children in a school or educational setting
Knowledge of the primary curriculum (EYFS / KS1 / KS2)
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
A patient, caring, and proactive approach
Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (desirable)
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
