Teaching Personnel is seeking an enthusiastic and skilled Design & Technology Teacher to work in a secondary school in Sheffield. This is an exciting opportunity to join a well‑resourced department and inspire students through creative, practical learning — with a particular focus on Construction.
We are especially keen to hear from teachers who have experience delivering Construction or Built Environment pathways, including hands‑on workshop‑based teaching.
The Role:Teach Design & Technology across Key Stages 3 and 4
Deliver Construction‑focused units (Level 1/2 Construction, Wood Technology, or related qualifications desirable)
Plan engaging practical lessons in workshop environments
Support students in developing technical, problem‑solving and employability skills
Maintain high standards of safety and classroom behaviour
Contribute positively to the wider department and school ethos
Hold QTS or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification
Have experience teaching D&T in a secondary setting
Have strong practical knowledge of Construction / Wood / Resistant Materials
Be confident managing workshop tools and health & safety procedures
Be passionate about vocational and hands‑on learning
Demonstrate strong classroom management and organisational skills
Be adaptable, reliable and committed to student progress

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
