Randstad Education is looking for dedicated support staff for Mainstream Primary Schools and Specialist Inclusion Learning Centres in Sheffield.

Working on supply in SEN requires adaptability and a thick skin. Your responsibilities will include:

• 1:1 Support: Building a strong bond with a specific student to help them navigate the school day.
• Emotional Regulation: Using de‑escalation techniques to manage anxiety and challenging behaviour.
• Sensory Support: Facilitating sensory breaks and using resources like workstations or visual timetables to keep students focused.
• Personal Care: (In some roles) Assisting with moving and handling or personal hygiene with dignity and respect.

• Pay – We operate a strict PAYE system. You earn your daily rate without umbrella companies taking a cut.
• Training – We offer access to training opportunities, including safeguarding and de‑escalation strategies.
• Local Reach – We work with schools across the entire Sheffield region.
• Flexibility – Manage your own diary via our app. Mark yourself unavailable when you need a week off.

• Experience: Previous experience supporting children or adults with additional needs (care, residential, or education settings).
• Attitude: Patience, resilience, and a non-judgmental approach.
• Vetting: A valid Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness for one immediately).
• References: Two professional references.
