Role
First Aid Trainer – Deliver high‑quality first aid courses for the British Red Cross.
Location:
Sheffield, South Yorkshire (within a 50‑mile radius).
Salary: £25,209 to £26,997 per annum, depending on qualification.
Hours:
35 per week (Mon – Sat, 9‑5, occasional evenings).
Contract:
Fixed‑term (18 months maternity cover).
Applicants must hold a full UK licence (2 years) and have access to a vehicle.
- Conduct first aid training and specialist courses for all learning styles.
- Teach appropriate actions for emergency situations (e.g., unresponsive patients, burns).
- Build confidence in participants to provide potentially lifesaving support.
- Travel to training venues throughout South Yorkshire and surrounding areas.
- Confident, engaging communicator able to speak in front of groups.
- Adept at active listening, problem solving, and providing constructive feedback.
- Training or teaching qualification, or willingness to work toward one.
- Independent, flexible and comfortable traveling to various locations using own vehicle.
- Experience preparing and delivering a range of training courses to mixed‑ability groups.
