Architectural Technician

ABA are a commercial Architectural and Interior Design Practice specialising in the Leisure and Hospitality industry working on some of the UK’s most loved brands.

Our services include scheme concept design, presentation schemes, Planning & Licensing submissions, Building regulations applications, production of detailed construction drawing packs, collation of schedules/specifications & FF&E, along with site delivery of these schemes as Project Managers.

This is a full-time Architectural Technician role based at our offices in the vibrant neighbourhood of Kelham Island, Sheffield.

As an Architectural Technician at ABA, you will be working alongside the both the Interior and Architectural discipline Teams providing the technical support required for detailed, fully specified construction drawing packs, along with preparing and coordinating of Planning, Building Regulation and other statutory submissions.

• 2-3yrs in industry experience as an Architectural Technician or related field.
• Building Regulations, Planning and other statutory guidance knowledge is essential along with strong spacial awareness and an understanding of buildings and materials, to provide detailed specifications etc.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft 365 essential, along with a familiarity of Adobe Creative Suite software packages.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to work well in a team and independently.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Bachelor's degree in Architectural Technology or a related field is preferable.
• Portfolio of previous design work to demonstrate aptitude for the role.
