Do you have the expertise to deliver a transformative National Lottery Heritage Fund project — and the drive to help safeguard Sheffield’s industrial story?

The Ken Hawley Collection Trust is seeking an experienced and highly organised Project Officer to lead delivery of Pride, Passion and Skills – Made in Sheffield, a major programme funded by The National Lottery Heritage Fund.

The project will:

• Document, digitise and interpret Sheffield’s toolmaking and cutlery heritage, protecting intangible knowledge as well as physical objects.
• Work with communities, craftspeople and manufacturers to capture living skills and experiences that are at risk of being lost.
• Create new digital content and interpretive opportunities, including films, interactive catalogues and online resources, broadening access far beyond the museum walls.
• Engage young people and volunteers, offering meaningful learning, participation and co‑creation opportunities as part of the project delivery.

This is a pivotal role responsible for developing and delivering the project.

You will work closely with trustees, volunteers, partners and community contributors to:

• Develop partnerships and build relationships with our delivery partners, our volunteers and our communities to deliver the project.
• Support the commissioning of a range of strands of work, including filming, digital outputs and IT improvements.
• Plan and deliver onsite events and outreach events and activity for participants.
• Provide creative input into interpretation, and public engagement activities.
• Undertake administration, project budget control and reporting relating to the project, including supporting the evaluation process.
