• Chartered Building Surveyor position within an independent, commercial-focused consultancy based in West Sussex.
• Entirely commercial workload across project and professional instructions.

• £45,000 – £55,000 basic salary (DOE)
• Contractual 10% bonus on over-target billing

• Primary focus on delivering commercial Building Surveying instructions across private investor and landed estate portfolios.
• Undertake building surveys and detailed defect reporting
• Act as Contract Administrator on commercial refurbishment projects
• Deliver Project Management duties across schemes up to £5m
• Advise landlord and tenant clients on dilapidations matters
• Manage Party Wall instructions
• Prepare reinstatement cost assessments
• Undertake Principal Designer and CDM duties
• Prepare and manage planned maintenance programmes
• Provide strategic asset advice to commercial clients
• Support cost planning and QS duties with structured training
• Maintain direct client interface across commercial portfolios, industrial property, churches and specialist assets
• Manage instruction delivery independently with senior oversight
• Contribute to fee generation and workload planning
• Project values typically up to £5m across industrial, commercial and mixed asset portfolios.

• RICS-accredited degree in Building Surveying
• MRICS qualified or close to qualification
• Private practice experience
• Experience across commercial property instructions
• Capability to manage instructions with limited supervision
• Confidence advising clients directly
• Interest in developing broader business and leadership responsibility
