North Scout is a growing boutique recruitment and managed services business, focused on Data, Technology and Consulting, particularly in the North of England. We work with a broad range of clients, from high-growth start-ups to international consultancies and FTSE 100 businesses.
We provide permanent, contract, Statement of Work (SOW) and managed services solutions.
We are looking for a Senior Consultant to lead client development and help grow the business, with a focus on meeting clients in person and building trusted, long-term relationships.
The RoleThis is a client development position with real autonomy. You will identify new client opportunities, understand the drivers behind hiring decisions, and turn relationships into long-term accounts. Face-to-face engagement is important, we value building trust and credibility in person, not just online.
You will work directly with the Founder, with freedom over how you operate. The focus is on outcomes, not metrics. As the business grows, this role could develop into a leadership position for the right person. A strong commission structure is in place to reward high performers.
Responsibilities- Identify and develop new client opportunities across Data, Technology and Consulting.
- Lead senior-level qualification conversations, ideally in person.
- Build and grow long-term accounts across permanent, contract, SOW and managed services solutions.
- Partner with delivery to ensure high-quality execution.
- Contribute to the commercial growth of the business.
- Deep understanding of, and a proven track record of commercial success in, Technology, Data or Consulting markets.
- Demonstrable experience generating client opportunities and growing accounts.
- Strong commercial judgement and understanding of business drivers.
- Experience in a client-facing recruitment or consulting role.
- Independent, disciplined and capable of managing your own portfolio.
- Comfortable and motivated by face-to-face client engagement.
- Positive, proactive, and willing to put the work in to achieve results.
