As a Business Development Manager at Rexel, you will drive profitable growth, gain market share, and create future pipeline opportunities, within a specific segment or product specialism. This role is pivotal in driving sales, collaborating with branch‑based teams, and creating an exceptional customer relationship and service.
Key Responsibilities- Use data‑driven insights to develop a strategic roadmap for increasing market share and identifying long‑term growth opportunities.
- Build and maintain a pipeline of customer partnerships.
- Establish partnerships and strategic relationships with customer brands/businesses for long‑term opportunities.
- Develop tailored value propositions that leverage preferred suppliers to drive innovation and profitability.
- Govern regional pricing, margins, and contract profitability.
- Adapt strategies to market and segment changes for long‑term growth.
- Promote multichannel adoption to innovate customer propositions.
- Ensure an exceptional customer experience and OTIF through collaboration with internal end‑to‑end experts.
- Upskill internal teams, ensuring clear account ownership and regular reviews to achieve growth targets.
- Collaboration – Building partnerships and working collaboratively with others to meet shared objectives.
- Accountability – Holds self and others accountable to meet commitments.
- Customer partnership – Creating new customer partnerships with multidimensional relationships for strategic insight for future opportunity.

- Commercial expertise (margin, P&L, cost to serve)
- Influencing and negotiation skills
- Proven experience in a business development role with demonstrable results
- Data‑driven decision making to drive strategic plans and growth opportunities
- Strong stakeholder‑management experience with cross‑functional collaboration
- Proven sales experience with the ability to prospect, qualify, and close new business
- Extensive knowledge of sales processes and techniques
