Pratap Partnership is seeking an Assistant Buyer on behalf of our client, a well‑established manufacturing & engineering company located in Sheffield
. This is an excellent opportunity for a candidate with some procurement experience to develop their career within a growing organisation.

Working closely with the Senior Buyer and other stakeholders within the business, the key responsibilities are:

• Assisting in purchasing key services and products for the business
• Building strong supplier relationships
• Evaluating supplier performance
• Researching new suppliers and identifying cost savings
• Working closely with colleagues across the business to ensure the right goods and services are purchased
• Maintain accurate procurement records and documentation, using the ERP system

• Experience in procurement or purchasing is essential although there is room to grow in the role.
• Strong organisation and communication skills
• Team‑oriented with a flexible approach to working hours
• Experience in manufacturing, engineering or similar sector would be advantageous but not essential
