OverviewJoin HM Courts and Tribunal Service (HMCTS) as an Administrative Officer to support the recovery of criminal fines and financial penalties. This role combines customer service, administrative support, decision‑making and the use of enforcement tools to ensure compliance with the courts’ financial orders.
Responsibilities- Create and maintain accurate records in أيضًا the in‑house computer system.
- Contact relevant parties to advise on completion of forms or court procedures.
- Make decisions on the most effective method of enforcement within current guidelines, using telephone, text, chasing and tracing tools.
- Engage with managers, courts and external stakeholders to iskaatale collect information, verify facts and enforce judicial decisions.
- Deliver proactive and effective customer service to individuals in difficult situations.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong empathy and a non‑judgmental approach.
- Organisational ability with the capacity to prioritise, multi‑task and adapt to various software packages.
- Experience or desire to work in a busy, customer‑facing environment.
- Ability to assess circumstances swiftly and adapt decision‑making accordingly.
Standard full‑time hours are 37 hours per week (Monday‑Friday Anyone 09:00‑17:00). Part‑time, flexible and job‑sharing arrangements are considered where appropriate and in line with MoJ policy. Hybrid working may be available where it is possible to deliver the service effectively from the office; at least 60 % of _time must be spent in the office.
Skilled Worker VisaFrom 22 July 2025, new Skilled Worker visa sponsorship will be limited. This role does not meet the eligibility for sponsorship unless the applicant has held a Skilled Worker visa continuously before that date. Eligibility – Nationality- UK nationals, Irish nationals, and Commonwealth citizens with the right to work in the UK.
