Position: Compassion Meets Service: Primary Care at VA Clinic in the Muscle Shoals Region of Alabama

The Florence, AL VA Community Based Outpatient Clinic (CBOC) is actively seeking Primary Care Physicians to join our mission-driven healthcare team!

Position Overview:

  • Schedule: Full-time, Monday-Friday
  • Patient Load: 12-13 patients per day per physician, allowing time for quality, patient-centered care
  • Team Model: Work as part of a Patient-Aligned Care Team (PACT)
    • Each physician is supported by a dedicated RN, LPN and MSA and has expanded support from clinical pharmacy, social work, mental health, and nutrition.
  • Employment Type: Federal - with full VA benefits
  • Paid Time Off: 50 days of annual paid time offer per year (26 days of annual leave, 13 days of sick leave, 11 paid Federal holidays per year and possible 5 days paid absence for CME)
  • Retirement:
    Traditional federal pension (5 years vesting) AND federal 401K with up to 5% in contributions by VA
  • Compensation: Competitive salary + performance bonuses + comprehensive federal benefits package

Qualifications:

  • U.S. Citizenship (required)
  • M.D. or D.O. degree
  • Board Certified/Board Eligible in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine
  • Active and unrestricted medical license (from any U.S. state or territory)
