North Coast Design Build is seeking a skilled Construction AutoCAD Project Draftsman to produce accurate, detailed technical drawings for commercial construction projects. The ideal candidate will work closely with in‑house lead project designer and engineer, to translate concepts, redlines, and field conditions into high‑quality construction documents. You will follow company CAD guidelines for all processes, including naming conventions, data storage, and layout standards.

- Create and revise AutoCAD drawings including site plans, floor plans, elevations, sections, structural and framing details, and MEP drawings.
- Convert sketches, markups, and PDFs into accurate CAD files.
- Coordinate drawings with the lead project designer and in‑house engineer, and project managers.
- Maintain organized CAD files and drawing logs.
- Assist with permit, bid, and construction documents.
- Update drawings based on field conditions and RFIs.
- Meet project deadlines while maintaining accuracy and consistency.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD (2D drafting required; 3D a plus).
- Understanding of construction methods, materials, and terminology.
- Ability to read and interpret architectural, structural, civil and MEP drawings.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects as well as work closely with other project designers.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Associate’s degree or certification in Drafting, Architecture, Engineering, or related field.
- Experience in commercial or residential construction.
- Previous experience with AutoCAD, Inventor, or similar software.
- Knowledge of local permitting and inspection processes.
- Field experience or construction background.
