Sendco - Maternity

The Island Learning Trust are looking to appoint a dynamic and aspiring maternity cover SENDCo who strives for all pupils's to be the best they can be at our Halfway Houses Primary School. Our Halfway Housesstaff are a strong, caring and committed team who place positive nurturing relationships at the centre of their practice. The SENDCo will be responsible for the day to day operation of the SEND provision and provision for pupils with additional needs.

We are looking for a SENDCo who:

• can share he vison of the school with all stakeholders
• is willing to contribute to the strategic leadership for the development and management throughout the school
• can liaise and work with external agencies
• will be the designated Teacher for Children in Care
• will act as a role model for good practice and model strategies for others
• have oversight of SEND pupil progress, interventions and support and provide regular updates to appropriate stakeholders.

This is a maternity cover only position for up to 1 year. Further details for this position can be found in the job description. The start date for this position is 20th April 2026.
