The Planning & Conservation Department has an opening for a 40 hour per week Limited-Term Employee for this summer.
Primary duties will include helping with the maintenance of County-owned recreation and open space facilities. Activities will include, but are not limited to trimming vegetation both by hand and with utilizing power tools, herbicide treatments, mowing, painting, and other miscellaneous tasks. The ability to independently work in an outdoor setting on a consistent basis is required. The ability to operate hand tools (i.e. hand trimmers) and small power tools (i.e. power trimmers, saws, drills, etc.)
is required. Candidate may also be asked to perform GIS-related tasks in the office on days of inclement weather. Basic vegetation identification skills and knowledge of GIS will be helpful.
- Applicant must be over 16 years of age and able to lift 50 pounds or more on a regular basis.
- Valid Driver’s License Required.
